According to The Kitch'n, a very popular food & home blog, the "best kitchen color ever" is ... mustard yellow.
You could have asked us that question like fifteen years ago! Note, Mother, that the writers refer to mustard yellow as warm and inviting and say nothing about it being milky. ;-)

I have to agree that yellow is a good kitchen color, although ours is a lighter, brighter, yellow, not "mustard".
