1) Apparently, we're not the only ones noticing the Charlottesville weather these days. The headline in this morning's local paper: News Flash: Sun Finally Shines. ;-) Apparently, it was a rainier spring this year, but we're still three inches below the average rainfall for this time in a given year, thanks to a drier than average winter.** I even scurried outside to take a photo yesterday morning when I was started to see some sunlight through the rain drops. Unfortunately, those photos were of rain drops falling into mud puddles, and no one really wants to see that.
2) Jerseyites, please note this NY Times guide to hiking in the Garden State. "So lace up your boots, get outside and stretch your legs — and still be home in time for dinner."
And 3) To all those who love me and want to lure me into visiting more, I submit for your approval an article detailing the second-home market in scenic, highly visitable Asheville, NC. Karen, I'm looking your way. :-)
**This note brought to you by the crew who has listened to Don's infectious enthusiasm regarding what he originally considered Charlottesville's exemplary weather. Has he since updated his theories? Only time, and possibly another 8-day rain streak, will tell.
