Update on Mr. Halk-Kar: He's still in the hospital, still fighting infection, still awaiting organ removal. However, I hear tell that his interlibrary loan books were delivered and, as a reader/introvert myself projecting onto Dave, I imagine he is already feeling much better. ;-) Keep healing, Fred! We're busily investigating the ways jet-packs may/will help you retain some gall in the coming months.

And, finally, I must have jinxed us by posting that sun-shower photo the other night, because just yesterday we drove home through a torrential downpour involving flooded roads, ineffective windshield wipers, and distressed motorists. All while simultaneously squinting through sunglasses because of the bright, blinding evening sunlight. Virginia, you're a wacky, weird place.
