To set the mood, howz about a visual of the happiest marimba player in the world?

Though you might think such a scene a far cry from Liz Lemon lecturing to a plate full of jelly beans, they were actually fairly well integrated. (The work and the play, not the lecture and the jelly beans.)
To provide you with additional location-specific flavor, I submit for your consideration this view from a Jamaican/Italian restaurant that serves (among other delights) pizza slices with Alfredo sauce instead of tomato sauce, topped with roasted garlic, red onions, mushrooms and salmon. De-lish!
As if that weren't hippy-dippy enough for ya, please take note of the family of vegetarian marimba players bringing "da riddims of de eart" to the rural home of a developmental psychology professor who has Anodea Judith, Evelyn Underhill, and Dan Brown on his bookshelf .
...And who knew that ads on downtown parking garages could be so metaphysical?

The "happiest marimba player in the world"?! Sounds a bit hyperbolic to me. ... Unless, of course, you've met every marimba player in the world, in which case, my bad.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a good and well-integrated trip to Eugene.
Now, Dave, I don't know all the marimba players (nor did I meet this individual), but he sure does look happy to be playing! ;-)
