It's a somber day at PaidinSunshine headquarters while we wait to hear how our Number 1 Commenter and Blog Follower, Halk-Kar, is doing. After a bout with "sludge," painful gall-stones and spiking fevers, he spent the night in the ICU and is headed to the gall bladder removal zone shortly, where he will find good company in one of our other blog fans, RabbittheCat's gall bladder-free Amanda.

What are you trying to say, Mom? That PaidinSunshine is boring without Dave? Hrpmh! ;-)
ReplyDeleteNothing boring about it...

All the best to Dave. While he's in "the shop" might as well have other minor organs removed as well. Suggest tonsils and appendix to start...
ReplyDeleteTo a speedy recovery!
Thanks everyone. He's doing quite well this morning, catheter was removed, enjoyed some broth for breakfast and even took a short walk. Just waiting now to figure out what "life threatening" infection is to give him the right antibiotics and then figure out when to take out the GB. Keep the positve thoughts and prayers coming.

Thanks for the kind words and good thoughts. I'm back on my feet, now, after over a week in the hospital. I must say, I was well cared-for at Bryn Mawr Hospital, but I am soooo glad to be back home.
ReplyDeleteBTW, in the picture of "bearded Dave" with Ben, I look like an entrant in the Papa Hemmingway look-alike contest.
