We've been negligent in our photography, likely due to long hours spent hauling and train-spotting. Imagine images of learning to operate a new washer/dryer combo machine, trying to coax water pressure out of slow dripping faucets, lots of corrugated cardboard, driving back and forth along Rt. 64, having food ready for us whenever we got to Keswick, and, of course, playing Chuck-It (or: Find-It) with Doogie
First, a glimpse of a Virginia country road, leading from James Madison's estate in Charlottesville.

And, secondly, a shot of our new car accoutrements (a parking sticker for the apartment complex, stupidly required to be front and center, and our great Christmas magnet from BD & Dave, which was lost inside Doc G's book until yesterday).

I hope you get a chance to visit Montpelier (James and Dolley Madison's home) near Charlottesville, not just drive by it. It's pretty cool. I'm also glad to see that Koala got the Christmas present (Peace magnet). Spread the message.
ReplyDeleteI ditto the visit to Montpelier. As a matter of fact last night I was looking at the 1000 places to Visit and was going to send you an e-mail telling you there are 2 places in Charlottesville. I had a learning experience at the Michie Tavern, why was that corn cob in the outhouse?
ReplyDeleteHope all is going well ... see you at the SWAP! No "Brocamoli" will be served, but hopefully you'll get some good eats but no Celery Soda.
